BABV Quest Referral Contest

In order to help promote our BABV Quest community, we are asking our members to help spread the word! We want the competition to be easy and fun, rules are simply in place to stop someone from spamming their way to the top. The member who refers the most new members before May 16, will receive a $40 VIB subscription, donated by the staff. (when released, if for some reason the subscription is not $40 for one year, we will give the closest amount) In addition to the subscription, we will also give virtual prizes to any participating member. You can ask friends, family members, teachers, the parents of your child's friends etc. The opportunities are endless.

If you are not a member of BABV Quest, new members are allowed to join the contest at anytime.

If you were referred by someone, please visit BABV Quest to register for an account or simply register by clicking here. (you must be 13 or older to register) Also, during registration, so your friend will receive credit for your referral, please add their BABV Quest username under the "Referred by" field. Once you register, please visit the Referral Contest Participants section and post in your friends thread. This way we know your friend referred you.

The Furry News - The week ending 8/3/8

• The carnival ended July 31, 2008. Along with it went the drum major outfit, clown costume, balloon hats, baton twirler costume, and lollipop.
• The carnival furniture was still available in the Bear Stuff Store as of August 3, 2008. The remaining furniture includes the snow cone machine, duck pond, cotton candy machine, carousel horse and tiger.
• MaxineClarkCEB is giving out a free pair of Red Heart Sunglasses for your character.
• The Chloe Show started. From July 31, 2008 - August 11, 2008, she will interview Corbin Bleu. If you stop by the interview, you will be awarded Corbin's new Hip Hop move.
• BABW Spirit School Days Giveaways - Visit your local BABW July 31 - September 1 for a new item each week that includes a free virtual gift too.

• Fountain prizes changed - In honor of the Olympics starting 8/8/8, eight new prizes were added to the fountain August 1. The prizes include the 8 Twist Baseball Helmet, 8 Twist Lamp, 8 Twist Necklace, 8 Twist Neon, 8 Twist Bretzel, 8 Twist Rug, 8 Twist Sculpture and the 8 Twist Sports Jersey. You also have the chance to win 8 Bear Bills, 88 Bear Bills and 888 Bear Bills.

The Furry News - the week ending 7/20/8

Another exciting week in BABV! Numerous items were added and more to come!

• Bear Stuff Store - the layout changed and numerous items were added. Flags from different country's, bear head clocks, neon clocks, cuckoo clock, chairs, piano and drum set. The outdoor items include bird bath, bird house, grills, flower box
• Pawlettes - New shirts, shorts and accessories!
• Boutique - Swing set, slide, new furry friend clothes and new character clothes
• Additional rooms available for purchase - Visit the Market Place Lumbear Yard to purchase rooms started at $3000. Rooms include a bedroom, kitchen, rooftop and backyard.
• A new condo navigation feature was added - We can access our rooms without going back to the living room.
• Our characters and bears can now open the refrigerator door, get an apple, shut the door and eat the apple.
• Some of our characters could sleep in beds the first day of the update - some even decided to take over their Dog Bed. We are hoping the feature will be added again soon and it's just a bug.
• Sound added to the Furbulous Fountain - when the coin hits the target you will hear a chime. If you miss you hear a splashing sound.
• Manage your account from the PDA - under options you can change chat, change your email or change your password.
• Safe chat added to Bear Mail
• Join friend option - when a friend is online and in the same den as you, click on their name and select Join Player. This option takes you directly to your friend. If they are in a condo, you receive a message stating they are in another condo.
• The carnival leaves BABV July 31
• Champ is retired
• New Furry Friends - T-Rex, Champ II and a new Toffee Bear
• Spend $30 either online or at your local BABW and get $8 off a purchase you make in August.

The Fountain Mystery Item Solved!

The mysterious fountain item was finally won tonight by one of the BABV Quest members. We were originally under the impression the item was a kilt but it is actually a Slap Bracelet.

The Furry News - the week ending 7/6/8

In my opinion, this was one of the funniest weeks on BABV yet. They did a wonderful job with the new additions! Kudos to BABV!

• The carnival is in town! 3 Mini games - Ring Toss, Bottle Towers and Beary Good Aim. Costumes, clothes and accessories were added to Pawlettes. You can sit on the ferris wheel. Photo booth coming soon

• Chloe Rocks appeared on July 4th and 5th with the Firework emoticon.

• Furtastic Fountain Game was added July 3 - Toss the coins for a chance to win items or Bear Bills

• Maxine Bear appeared with Bear Head Flip Flops

• Camp prizes were given out - Yummy Yellow team took first place and received the Trophy, Tent, Sleep Bag and Picnic Table. Since the teams worked so hard, BABV decided all teams deserved a prize(s)

• Amethyst Teddy was released

• Other new furry additions - Ostrich, Camel, Orangutan, Seal and Gorilla

The Furry News - the week ending 6/20/8

This week brought a few changes and new items. We also found out BABV has a few more surprises coming!

• DON'T FORGET - visit Bearemy June 20 - 22 to receive your Sunny Tiny Tee!

• Three party theme rooms were added - If you have a party at BABW you get a party room for your person you get to invite up to 20 people to your party room. They will receive the invite in bear mail. You will also receive a gift.

• Dance Party Room includes: Boys will receive a disco top and pants, Girls will receive a red dress. Disco Room Move - Rolling of the Hand and stomping of the feet

• Sporty Fun Room includes: Girls - receive Cheerleader Outfit, Boys -?, The Sport Room Move - The Wave

• Beachtime Room includes: Girls - Hula Outfit, Boys - Hawaiian Shirt and pants. -Swim Motion - plug your nose, hand in the air and wiggle your body down

• The Kitchen appliances and furniture finally arrived! Bear Head Oven, Vintage Fridge, Modern Fridge, Butcher Block Cart, Bear Head China Cabinet, Two Chairs, Mosaic Table, Round Checkered Table, Kitchen Rack, Paw Print Chair and the Bear Head Chair.

• New Boutique clothes! Over 12 outfits and accessories were added for you and your furry friend!

• Pawlette Coufur Boutique - Selecting your clothes changed. It's now the same as the Boutique. It's like flipping through a catalog...and how cute is the Inner Tube Inflatable!

• Color wheel changes - to to so many choosing "skin colored clothing", the light colored clothing is no longer a choice.

• We can now sit on the benches and chairs all over BABV! Be careful...if someone sits in the same spot as you, we have noticed you will go missing for a few minutes.

• If you sit down in the chairs at the Libeary, you can flip through a book...some good reading!

• A new region was added - South Africa but no dens added yet.

• A sign appeared in the Pawforming Arts Center letting us know the Carnival is coming to BABV! A balloon animal was spotted, we can only hope that means the Carnival will arrive soon.

• It looks like Beary Blue has the lead with 1230168 points, followed by The Yummy Yellow Team with 811649 points. Not far behind we have Groovy Green with 808565 and Rockin Red with 802057. We have a little over a week left so anyone on the Yellow, Green and Red teams still have a chance to play and help your team get their points up!

• Special Chat Upgrade - When you select safe chat, you will only see messages from other citizens using the chat menu.

• Rename and organize your bears - open your PDA and click on Furry Friends. You are given the option of renaming your bears or reorganizing them by moving them up or down on the list.

• A little extra BABW News - 6/18/8 twelve amazing youth leaders from the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and France are being honored as Huggable Heroes for doing their part to make their communities and the world a better place. This is the fifth year Build-A-Bear Workshop conducted its annual search for Huggable Heroes, a program that rewards kids for their outstanding acts of generosity and volunteerism and encourages other kids to do the same.
